Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

JOB TITLE: Guest Services Associate

REPORTS TO: Guest Services Manager

JOB TYPE: Part Time, Exempt, Salaried

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Guest Services Associate is an integral part of the daily operations of the Guest Services Department, including the ticket sales process and delivering exceptional guest experiences by being welcoming, engaging, professional, and service-oriented. This role is often the first point of contact for guests, so it requires ensuring that every interaction reflects on Riverside Theatre’s commitment to hospitality, professionalism, and artistic excellence.

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Mostly 32 hours per week, and infrequently over 32 hours

  • Availability to work varied day, evening, and weekend shifts is required

  • Additional hours may be scheduled during season’s peak times and events

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests with purchasing tickets, in person and by phone, for productions and events

  • Provide information about productions, programs, and the Riverside Theatre experience

  • Assist patrons with subscription renewals, exchanges, and ticket inquiries

  • Maintain and update patron information in the ticketing database

  • Create a welcoming and engaging experience for all guests and employees

  • Support audience development by collecting patron information for marketing purposes

  • Maintain accurate cash handling and reconciliation

  • Assist with reception duties and general guest assistance

  • Attend performances early in the run, when scheduled, to become familiar with the shows

  • Follow Riverside Theatre guest service standards

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Friendly demeanor

  • Enjoy speaking with people from the same and from different backgrounds than yourself

  • Punctual and available to work evening and weekend shifts

  • Honest and reliable

  • Ability to remain calm and helpful while working under pressure

  • Ability to work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • A genuine interest in theatre and the arts

  • Ability to use discretion and professionalism with guests, patrons, staff, and vendors

  • Basic computer proficiency, Basic MS Excel knowledge, Tessitura experience a plus

    Physical Requirements:

  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safety guidelines

  • Working while sitting for extended periods of time
