Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

Fundraising Campaign Coordinator

JOB TITLE: Fundraising Campaign Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Chief Development Officer (CDO)

JOB TYPE: Full Time, Salary, Exempt

Description:

The Campaign Coordinator is a full-time salaried position reporting to the Chief Development Officer. The coordinator occupies a crucial position in our campaign. In addition to general administrative duties, this position serves as the principal contact person for the campaign’s leadership and its volunteers. Overall, the principal function is to do everything possible to keep our campaign running smoothly.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with team leaders, be responsible for creating, coordinating, and facilitating activities, meetings, training, cultivation activities, solicitations and special events related to the campaign.

  • Work with staff to make sure all gifts, acknowledgements, and receipts for campaign donors are recorded and mailed within 48 hours of receipt.

  • Communicate directly with Riverside Theatre Board members, high level community leaders, and volunteer leaders to make sure their needs are supported.

  • Work with staff to develop research profiles for campaign prospects.

  • Work with the Chief Development Officer and the communications team to create newsletters and other materials for the various campaign constituencies.

  • Work closely with potential donors in scheduling and coordinating cultivation and solicitation opportunities for staff and volunteers, and be able to professionally represent Riverside Theatre to external constituencies.

  • Assist the Chief Development Officer with writing and packaging proposals for gifts from major campaign constituents.

  • Communicate extensively with Riverside Theatre staff and all solicitors to coordinate prospect information, meetings, solicitations, and follow-up.

  • Function as the on-site logistics coordinator for campaign awareness events. This will require some local travel and time outside of normal business hours.

  • Assist the Chief Development Officer with other campaign duties, as needed. And all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in a related field is required.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards.

  • Direct experience in professional fundraising.

  • Independent judgment and initiative, the ability to work independently while maintaining focus.

  • Very strong technical and computer skills. Moderate level experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint programs and some exposure to relational databases, such as Tessitura.

  • Excellent English written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Customer service minded.

  • Experience in coordinating complex schedules between various high-level administrators and high-level volunteers. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Understanding of publications operations and the creation of marketing materials.

  • Experience in prospect research, including familiarity with wealth screening solutions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional moving and lifting items up to 25 lbs while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines

  • Working at a desk for extended periods of time, including constant use of a computer and telephone.
