Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

JOB TITLE: Junior Graphic Artist & Marketing Assistant

REPORTS TO:  Director of Promotions & Media Art

JOB TYPE: Full Time with Benefits – Hours to coincide with office hours and special events as assigned on nights and weekends

DESCRIPTION: We're Hiring: Entry-Level Graphic Designer 

Are you a creative thinker with a passion for visual design? We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team!

The graphic designer will work closely with the in-house marketing staff and is responsible for creating advertising and promotional materials to boost ticket sales for all the Theatre’s shows and special events

    

Essential Skills:  The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualities:

  • Some graphic design in a professional environment preferred, but will train the right person for this entry level position.

  • Proficient in all aspects of adobe creative cloud software (Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop and Acrobat. Adobe Premiere/Express or Apple Final Cut Pro skills would be helpful but not required to be considered)

  • Knowledge of graphic design and production processes to create print/web advertising and marketing promotional materials (Ads, Signs, Publications, Event Graphics and much more)

  • Basic level of proficiency in photography and video skills is helpful but not required to be considered.

  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines 

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Time management skills

  • Positive and professional demeanor

  • Team player

Preferred Skills:

  • 1 year of experience in a professional graphic design environment

  • Strong portfolio showcasing design range and creativity

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties Include, but not limited to:

  • Provide support for the Director of Promotions and Media Art

  • Design and create artwork for Theatre advertising and promotions

  • Assist in the implementation of new promotions

  • Contribute new ideas and alternatives solutions to resolve design issues

  • Participate in meetings

  • Proof and print copy

  • Photograph events, as assigned (not a requirement)

  • Communicate with other departments on assignment updates, as needed

  • Network with other community agencies to promote the Theatre
