Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

We are a dynamic, small-but-expanding food and beverage operation currently grossing nearly $700,000 annually, with clear potential to reach $1.2 million as we expand. We’re seeking an experienced Executive Chef to build and lead our culinary team, drive operational excellence, and help us scale to the next level. 

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
• Develop innovative, seasonal menus that reflect our brand and delight guests.
• Manage food and labor costs, inventory, and vendor relationships to maximize profitability.
• Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and growth.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Collaborate with ownership and management on business strategy and expansion plans.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years in a senior kitchen management or Executive Chef role.
• Proven track record in menu development, cost control, and team leadership.
• Strong budgeting, inventory, and vendor management skills.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for food, creativity, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently moving and lifting items up to 25 lbs, while utilizing appropriate equipment and following safety guidelines
