Trish Keating
Trish’s style of comedy is one part social satire, two parts personal pain and most parts attitude! After serving eight years of hard time in Catholic school, Trish eventually made parole and saw the need to share her quick wit and sarcasm with the world. Following in the footsteps of her comedy idols, Paula Poundstone, Joan Rivers and Wanda Sykes, Trish likes to rev up her own brand of minted sarcasm onstage regularly across the country.
Trish began her comedy career performing daily at Universal Sudios, then onto Chicago to workshop with the legendary Uta Hagen. Trish soon studied improve with Del Close at Second City, and continued to hone her skills on teams at The Annoyance and The Improv Olympic.
Appearances in various film and television productions followed including: “E.R.”, film Return to Me, “Chicago Hope,” “Cupid,” and “Early Edition” as well as many other theatricals. Trish is happy to say she worked on Ocean’s 11 and basically got paid to stalk George Clooney.
Trish is a teacher, director and adjunct professor, and performs regularly in clubs and colleges across the state and beyond. Trish was a finalist for the Boston Comedy Festival and for Florida’s Funniest Comedy Competition . A three-time featured performer at the annual Tampa Bay Comedy Festival, “The Teacher’s Lounge Comedy Show” at The Tampa Improv, “The Divine Divas of Comedy Show” and “Funny Divas Show”. A frequent on-air guest for podcast, radio and Orlando’s “The Daily Buzz” and the daytime morning show in Tampa.
