REPORTS TO: Director of Education, Riverside Theatre, and Director of Arts and Literacy Integration, The Learning Alliance
JOB TYPE: Full Time, Exempt, Salaried
DESCRIPTION: The Theatre Education Instructor is an education position responsible for teaching, implementing, and
contributing to the educational programs at Riverside Theatre and serving as a Drama Education
Specialist at local elementary schools as a shared employee with The Learning Alliance (TLA).

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Qualifying and relevant teaching experience in the Arts, especially in public school settings
Bachelor's degree, minimum, that is in Performing Arts and/or Education
Positive and upbeat personality
A willingness to develop and implement an arts integrated curriculum
Ability to interact positively with youth, parents, coworkers, and community partners
Familiarity with children’s literature and theatrical scripts and material
Enjoys teaching and working with young people of all ages
Experience implementing and/or creating educational programs
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach drama classes, workshops, and camps in school, theater, and afterschool settings
