Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

Community Outreach & Engagement

Riverside Theatre is proud to partner with these leading community organizations.

  • Ballet Vero Beach

  • Boys and Girls Club of Indian River County (BGC)

    • Riverside Theatre for KIDS (RTK) will explore a bilingual program with BGC’s Fellsmere group.  RTK could offer dance, singing, and/or theatre classes, depending on the interest of the kids and also the skills of the Spanish language instructors RTK would contract.  RTK is researching bilingual shows.

    • RTK will work with BGC’s students to create small performances they could perform at Winterfest (formally known as Festival of Trees) the weekend of December 2-3, 2023.  These performances could involve singing, dancing, theater or other.  

  • Cultural Council of Indian River County

  • Education Foundation of Indian River County

  • Environmental Learning Center (ELC)

    • Riverside Theatre for KIDS (RTK) will find ways to utilize ELC’s pavilion, starting with a performance of Finding Nemo JR in December 2023.

  • Gifford Youth Achievement Center (GYAC)

    • Riverside Theatre for KIDS (RTK) will organize a GYAC group to take to the Junior Theatre Festival (JTF) in Atlanta, GA from January 12-14, 2024. Generally valued as an $18,000 to $20,000 trip, Riverside will cover the cost through a generous legacy gift.  RTK will work with GYAC’s students from August 2023 through January 2024 to put together a Junior musical, of which they will perform a 15-minute segment.  After the JTF Festival, the GYAC group will perform the entire show in a fully-staged concert version at Riverside Theatre and at GYAC.

  • Gifford Youth Orchestra (GYO)

    • Riverside Theatre for KIDS (RTK) will showcase GYO’s quartet on its campus at various shows and events.

    • RTK will send an instructor to teach dance and/or theater at Dodgertown after-school next school year.

    • RTK will offer GYO performances during the Winterfest (formally known as Festival of Trees) the weekend of December 2-3, 2023.

  • Indian River Healthy Start Coalition

    • The feature fundraiser for Healthy Start Coalition, Dancing with Vero’s Stars, in partnership with Riverside Theatre will take place once again November 18, 2023 at Riverside Theatre. An evening of tempting tangos, sizzling salsas and jiving jitterbugs, performed by local stars matched with professional dance instructors.

    • Riverside Theatre for KIDS (RTK) will offer a theatre arts workshop at Youth Guidance (YG) September-December for YG’s students to explore techniques in drama, dance, and music, culminating in a revue-style performance during Winterfest (formally known as Festival of Trees) the weekend of December 2-3, 2023
