Community Outreach
Because RCT believes that a performing arts education can enrich the lives of all children and give each individual child life skills that will promote self confidence, improved social and communication skills, creative thinking and discipline, one of its major goals is to make its programs accessible to at risk youth. This is accomplished through a multi-faceted approach that includes:
• In-School performances and classroom workshops offered at no charge to local schools.
• After school drama and dance enrichment programs taught through partnerships with neighborhood centers and school extended day programs.
• A scholarship program that provides financial assistance to qualifying students.
• Complimentary tickets to performances made available through partnerships with social services agencies.

Support RCT
Riverside Children’s Theatre involves and benefits youth of all interests and abilities. Many of RCT’s programs are available at a reduced rate or free of charge. One-half of RCT’s income is derived from door sales and tuition; the other half must be subsidized through private donations.
Support is needed to provide these positive programs for our children. Your gift can make a difference by enabling RCT to continue to keep classes and shows affordable, employ the best youth drama specialists to mentor our youth, reach out to under-served schools and neighborhoods, offer free transportation to classes, and be a partner and resource to local community groups and schools.
• Outreach Scholarship Fund provides the means to grant financial assistance to cover tuition and provide free tickets to qualifying youth.
• Show Sponsorships help to cover production costs incurred in producing the very best in youth theatre productions.
• Festival of Trees Sponsorships support this community wide holiday celebration that is RCT’s major fund raiser to cover yearly operating costs.
• Endowment support assists in ensuring RCT’s financial future. Gifts to the Endowment Fund produce annual income that helps continue educational activities through support to the operating budget. The Anne & Jack Morton Scholarship Fund was established to provide revenue to fund, through scholarships the performing arts education for qualifying children.
