Riverside Theatre is a regionally producing theatre affiliated with Actor's Equity Association, The League of Resident Theatres, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and United Scenic Artists. Riverside Children's Theatre, the educational arm of Riverside, offers classes, camps, and training opportunities in the areas of theatre, dance, music, and video for all ages on a year round basis.

Riverside Children's Theatre's On The Go actors have added a new offering, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” this spring and have been performing at middle and high schools in Indian River and St. Lucie counties. The general public will have the opportunity to enjoy the show, a wacky parody of Shakespeare's plays. The three actors, Jacob Cummings, Kaitlyn Schirard and Chelsea Swearingen will weave their way through Shakespeare's comedies, histories and tragedies in less than two hours in this irreverent, fast-paced show.

The beloved fairy tale of everyone's favorite boot wearing cat comes to life in this delightful adaptation, Can a poor miller's son win a fortune, a title and the hand of a beautiful princess? With the help of a bold, enterprising cat and a pair of boots, the answer might be yes! Curriculum alignment: Folk Tales, Language Arts, Reading.

The Fisherman and His Wife
  The Fisherman and His Wife Adapted by Claudia Haas from the story by the Brothers Grimm
A fisherman catches an enchanted fish and is granted three wishes to try to bring happiness to his ambitious wife. The audience will help Scat, the magical fish with a flair for jazz, teach the couple an important lesson about being greedy. Curriculum alignment: Folk Tales, Language Arts, Reading.

Oh no! Things are all mixed up in Fairy Tale Village, Our favorite stories have been cracked, broken and scrambled by the silly Professor Scattergood. Can Goldilocks, the Ugly Duckling and the Three Little Pigs figure out how to unscramble their stories and get back to where they once belonged? Perhaps with a little help from the audience, they just might figure it out! Curriculum alignment: Literature, Language Arts, Reading.
