Riverside Children’s Theatre Philosophy of Education
Each child has the freedom to express himself/herself in an emotionally and physically safe environment.
Each child has the opportunity to explore his/her specific interests in all areas of theatre and is encouraged to do so through classroom work and performance.
With respect to RCT productions, the objective is to produce the highest quality show possible while emphasizing the process, providing all children the opportunity to perform in some capacity, and in finding a place for each individual child’s special talents.
Riverside Children’s Theatre programs are inclusive to all children.
The objective is to encourage creativity and fun in a professional environment which emphasizes high standards of quality in order to instill the following aspects of personal development and theatre arts training:
- Teamwork

- Responsibility and respect to follow students/actors, facility, instructor and self)
- Exposure to literature
- Awareness of the senses
