A Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning drama, The Gin Game is an engrossing drama full of wit and sentimentality. Weller Martin and Fonsia Dorsey, two elderly residents at a nursing home for seniors, strike up an unlikely alliance. Since neither seems to have any other friends, they start up a series of gin rummy games on the home's sunlit porch. While playing, they engage in lengthy conversations about their families and their lives in the outside world, and their game of gin becomes an emotional battle between two people who long to be winners just once more before time runs out. |
