Youth Theatre & Music Classes

Riverside Theatre for Kids Theatre and Music Classes are designed to offer performance opportunities, behind-the-scenes access to professional & educational shows at Riverside Theatre, and further develop students' skills in all areas of theatre. Classes are available for students age 6 and up.

Riverside’s youth education programs offer:

1. Classes that build self-esteem, support, and skills for life while also introducing young people to theatre education and providing a strong foundation for performance training.

2. Classes that explore various topics and forms of theatrical expressions under the guidance of trained and encouraging educators within a safe and supportive environment.

3. Classes that connect young people to professional artists and productions at Riverside Theatre.

4. Classes that build on one another (from beginner classes to advanced study) through a shared curriculum and mission so that we can provide the best in theatre education for those who are looking to explore an appreciation for performance as well as those who may wish to pursue such training as preparation for future careers.

5. Classes that connect young people to the art of theatre, the various areas of performance, the importance of community and ensemble, and the power of one’s imagination through activities, improvisation, scene study, and story-telling.
